Hakka Marinated Tofu Recipe

Hakka Marinated Tofu is a flavorful and crispy vegetarian dish that can be served as a snack or as a main dish with rice. Before baking until golden and crispy, the tofu is marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and aromatic seasonings.

Ingredients

  • Prep Time: 40 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour, 5 minutes

Instructions

  • Drain the tofu and cut it into 1/2-inch cubes.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, garlic, and ginger in a shallow dish.
  • Make sure the tofu slices are completely coated in the marinade.
  • Refrigerate the dish for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, flipping the tofu halfway through.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the tofu slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  • Serve hot or cold as a snack or as a main course with rice.
