Instructions

  • Cook until the cubed tofu is lightly browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Set the tofu aside after removing it from the pan.
  • Add the sliced peppers, onions, and garlic to the same pan.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  • In a separate mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water.
  • Bring the sauce to a simmer in the pan with the vegetables.
  • Return the tofu to the pan and stir until evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the tofu is thoroughly heated.
  • Serve immediately over rice or noodles.
