  • Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  • Combine cornstarch and sesame seeds in a shallow dish.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Coat each tofu slice in the cornstarch mixture and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and chickpeas in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
